Moon Beam Coffee

Moon Beam Coffee Company started with a mission trip to Guatemala, a chance conversation, and a little curiosity.

After visiting Guatemala, our founder, Donald Moon, was looking for a hobby when he met a man who roasted coffee on his flight home. They got to talking, and something just clicked. Donald came home determined to learn everything he could about roasting coffee.

What started as a hobby soon became a passion. He began roasting for fun and sharing bags with friends and family. In those early days, our coffee came in hand-painted burlap sacks designed by Donald's late wife, Cindy, who helped make those first bags special.

Donald later returned to Guatemala to visit coffee farms and learn from experienced roasters, bringing that knowledge back home to San Angelo. As the love for his coffee grew, so did the dream of turning that hobby into something more.

Eleven years later, Moon Beam Coffee is still proudly local and rooted right here in West Texas. We believe good coffee is about more than what's in the cup. It's about the people you share it with, the conversations around the table, and a little hometown hospitality.
